Wines made from plants other than grapes include rice wine and various fruit wines such as those made from plums or cherries.

Some well known example are hard cider from apples, perry from pears, pomegranate wine, and elderberry wine.

Some UK supermarkets have been criticised for selling “wine based” drinks, which only contain 75% wine, but which are still marketed as wine.

What are the benefits of SMP?

SMP is able to rejuvenate a natural looking hairline on those who are experiencing recession.

It is also great to universally mimic a close-shaven look for those with total or partial hair loss.

SMP reduces the appearance of scaring or trauma within the scalp area.

It perfectly disguises the affects of Alopecia, hair loss, pattern-baldness and other hair-related conditions.

SMP helps to give back confidence to those who have experienced hair loss whilst also providing a youthful look.

As SMP is a long-lasting procedure, it is very low maintenance, requiring no attention from yourself on a daily basis.

How can it work?

SMP can be used in a number of ways; to cover scarring, restore recessed areas of hair such as the hairline and to add density to thinning parts of the hair. In general, this cosmetic procedure is popular with those experiencing full or partial hair loss, offering a clean-cut, youthful and natural look to all. The finished look is natural and undetectable.

At Aderans Hair Centre we are proud to offer an SMP service within our London salon.

F.A.Q

How long does SMP last?

SMP is Semi Permanent, but a long lasting procedure and should last anywhere between 2-6 years. The reason for the varying time is down to differing skin types (oily/dry) and how these respond to environmental and individual factors such as exposure to sun or sun damage, age, products used upon the area and your general health.

We recommend that your procedure is monitored and potentially topped-up on a yearly basis once completed. This simply ensures that the effect created stays looking as natural as possible.

Who can undergo an SMP procedure?

Procedures are suitable for all clients, but are particularly popular with those at every stage of hair loss due to medical conditions such as Alopecia. There are many ways in which SMP can be used to create life-like effects on the scalp to mimic the hair follicle. This can be used universally across the scalp or in small areas. The course of action will be discussed during your consultation.

If you are going through Chemotherapy and/or Radiotherapy treatments, please check with your GP before booking your consultation.

How many sessions do I need?

Many clients ask how many sessions of SMP they will be required to have before the process is considered complete. This question should never be answered without having first gone through the consultation process. Taking into consideration that per each square centimetre of the scalp on an average head will have a hair density of between 80-100 follicular (each of which can hold two hairs), the time that the process can take will vary greatly depending on the desired effect. In order to replicate the natural density of the scalp when reconstructing hairlines, this will need to be finished over a 3 week time frame. The process is completed in this way as to avoid unwanted migration of the imitation follicle as you need to allow time for the scalp to heal back into its natural state.

For the best and most realistic outcome we suggest a minimum of 3 sessions when having Densification or Hair Line Reconstruction. SMP is a commitment and you must be willing to allocate the time suggested by your consultant for the best results.

Who will complete my procedure and is it safe?

Our practice and consultant are fully compliant with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), the legal requirements needed to complete the SMP procedure. Our practice is cleaned every morning before clients arrive, after each client and again at the end of each day.
All equipment used within our practice are protected and cleaned with the correct materials and cleaning products to ensure no cross contamination.
You can relax knowing that Trendco have everything in order and ready for you to begin moving forward with your transformation.

What can I expect after my treatment?

You can certainly expect to see instant results after each session, in some cases you can also expect to see redness within the first 24-48 hours, this is completely normal and is due to the time spent on the procedure being carried out upon the scalp. You might notice fading which again is completely normal; this is because each person’s skin varies in how it heals.

How much will it cost?

Due to each SMP treatment being tailored to the needs of the individual, this solution can not be accurately calculated without a thorough consultation.

During your no-obligation assessment with our trained consultant, we will be able to provide you with a plan of action that accurately portrays both the cost and time required to complete the procedure.

Our prices below depict the baseline cost and are not necessarily reflective of the final cost incurred for undergoing SMP.

How soon can I have SMP?

How soon can I have SMP?

Provided that a skin test is carried out 48 hours prior to any booking and no reactions have occurred, you may begin your procedure.

  • What you know already about SMP
  • Any questions or uncertainties you may have regarding your treatment
  • Your scalp, following an analysis and to discuss your expectations
  • If you are eligible for SMP
