I loved my role in senior management but had my head turned, from career progression, when I witnessed the amazing effect of micropigmentation treatments. To facilitate my desire to help restore confidence to those in need, I trained in micropigmentation back in 2011.  Since this life-changing turning point I have progressed my skills and knowledge with regular training courses within the hair loss and aesthetic field, most recently in trichological science and practice.  My own specialities quickly became Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) and hair-loss related treatments, marrying my background, knowledge and experience with my new practical skills.  The leap of faith paid off and I Iove what I can offer to my patients.

My desire to help, industry knowledge and my love of hair loss treatments in their many forms led me to become an educator and I am proud to be part of FTG’s hair loss training programme. Within this role I am fortunate to have the opportunity to share my passion and knowledge on a global scale, both in the training room and also as a lecturer to the micro industry and medical hair loss professionals.

My true passion is working together with those affected by hair loss in the clinic, to offer effective solutions and share the joy of confidence restoring hair loss treatments.

My move into hair loss was due to my sister losing her hair during chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.

I wanted to understand the reasons for hair loss and how I could best help the sufferers.

So I studied Trichology here in the UK with TricoCare and in America with the  US Trichology Institute.

I am a member of the Association of Registered Trichologist.

JULIE SPRIGGS

Hair Loss Consultant

I have been working within the Hair loss industry for 18 years now as a Salon Manager, witnessing firsthand the devastating effects hair loss can have on an individual. I am full of compassion for the industry as I have experienced hair loss in my own family.

From a small child my ambition to become a hairdresser never faltered. I started my career at the age of 12 as a Saturday girl and I have never looked back. I came in the hair loss industry by accident as my mother had visited the Hove salon due to hair loss herself, I was amazed when she removed her hairpiece at how natural it looked as I didn’t realise she was wearing anything and assumed she had been to a different hairdresser. I instantly wanted to be part of this new found industry and was then told there was a salon opening in Birmingham and applied for the position. The opportunities that have arisen from working for Aderans have been amazing. I have travelled worldwide for the company and two years ago I represented the UK in the global world championship for Wig Design and won first place.

I have gone onto learning new skills such as Semi permanent make up & scalp micro pigmentation to take my hair loss solutions to the next level. I have a true passion for all things hair loss related and have recently been studying hair loss Science within trichology.

I continue to advise and support my clients on a personal level to regain their confidence. Here is a recent review that makes me love everyday of what I do, changing lives, putting smiles on faces & developing the strength we need in our industry for tomorrow.

“I have been going to see Jules for over 10 years. In that time, I have gone from being someone who wears a wig & allows that to define who I was, to a confident woman who has beautiful long hair that bounces as I walk & feels as much a part of me as my acrylic nails or spectacles.

Each time I visited (I travel an hour by train to get there) I got a little more confident about my wig, Jules over the years has taken the time to help me with care & styling.

18 Months ago, having selected 3 similar short styles I happened to say I’d always wanted long hair but it doesn’t suit me…’long hair suits everyone’ said Jules, ‘we just need to play with styles’

The rest is history, I brought 2 real hair wigs on the back of that appointment & have never looked back. I feel attractive, I walk differently & have since met & fell in love & I credit this in part to my gorgeous hair. She knows her stuff!!!”
